Walking
Today in our country there are more than 7,000 km. of railway lines that do not provide rail service. Not because it means that they have no further use. The Department of the Environment is enabling all these miles for use and enjoyment of walkers and cyclists, for older and younger and even for those with disabilities, enjoying the cultural, historical and natural heritage that have each. They are known as Greenways and Spain are conditioned over 1,500 km. of these old disused railway lines.
This is the case of the Greenway in the Sierra Norte de Sevilla running, for the most part, by the old branch that united the mining Cerro del Hierro with Zafra-Seville line. Its first section runs through a cattle track that goes into the Natural Park. A journey of just over 19 km. of low difficulty path that shows us, especially the important natural heritage of this protected area.
